Replace fear with faith, and anxiety with peace...

1. Research

Since I received my Doctorate of Ministry (DMIN) from Oral Roberts University and Master of Arts Leadership (MACL) at Asbury Theological Seminary, it has been an honor to provide noteworthy research data that was derived from 5 1/2 years of studies in pastoral care. Student Leaders can glean valuable data that will assist in their mission to impact the world through their dissertations.

The research data indicates persons remaining faithful to spiritual practices by attending church experience reduced anxiety. Another positive variable indicated that the educational background of the research recipients reflected the educational background with a high academic standard; 36% were college graduates, with 36% of persons practicing pastoral care being involved in the corporate society. Many were seeking more fulfillment in a service-oriented field such as pastoral care.

The research reviews indicated that participant’s anxiety levels were significantly reduced through their responses from the pretest in comparison to the post-test questions. 90% of the participants surveyed were not involved in pastoral care, the training was helpful because it provided a platform and method of assessment to better equip the participants to serve. After training, the participants were able to engage in more community outreach.

2. Collaborations

Branches Inc. team implemented the Interpathic Personal Pastoral Care (IPPC) Research project in Pearland, Texas. It helped the clergy and leaders to develop Chaplaincy Skills and reduce the anxiety that aided and provided opportunities for more growth.

The participants in the research training of IPPC indicated the following;

Branches Inc., a 509 (a) 2 non-profit- organization with locations in Lexington, Kentucky, and Houston Texas, founded by Dr. Dorothy Smith-Hubbard. Our program is geared to empower leaders, young and old, to serve in their communities. We successfully partner ecumenically with churches, para-ministries, and corporations implementing and delivering mentoring services to local faith community leaders committed to relating to the youth populations at risk.

Our professional team of facilitators structures workshops, seminars, and peer groups that build bridges for the participants to be transformed. Especially during this COVID season, many have lost loved ones and may need grief coaches to process their pain. We are also available to provide assistance and information relating to conflict reconciliation, to curtail gun violence that may be produced by unmanaged anger.

We are open to facilitating individual, or group sessions on Zoom.com or in person. We are available to facilitate a session at YOUR Church or Organization; Our sessions are customized to meet your needs and to empower and enhance your mission!
